Field of Dreams abstract

Ok, this is really just a shot of a cornfield I snapped out the passenger window as we sped by, with some faffing. It doesn’t really show the strong low light before sunset, which lit up the ground and trees so beautifully against a dark sky. But the timing was fun because of the Field of Dreams game played yesterday. It was the first MLB game played in Iowa and echoed the movie that came out thirty years ago. Kevin Costner was there, and the Yankees and White Sox players walked out of the corn wearing old-timey uniforms, like the ghosts in the movie. Pure nostalgia. I’m not really a baseball fan, but I have enjoyed W’s and the kids’ enthusiasm this summer.
