Return flight at the end of our flying visit

The first time in a year to get out to see our house.

A lot of managing:
- Filling in our "Engagement sur l'honneur" declaration for the trip out
- Evidence of our vaccinations
- Ordering our PCR test kits before departure (we had to book two each       at the time of ordering, but the rules changed and now we only need         one for Day 2)
- Completion of our Passenger Locator Form - four pages long
- PCR test in France prior to returning

These were all given a cursory check by the airline check-in at Perpignan Airport, but no scanning or recording.  When we and everyone else arrived at Passport Control at Stansted, what was checked was ......... our passports!  All that time, energy and not inconsiderable expense - about the same as the airfare - seemingly for nothing.

Nothing to be done.  Completely outside our circles of influence and control if we wanted to travel.
