I saw your face in a crowded place

We popped up to the allotment tonight to pick up lettuce for tea, and pinch some flowers for Gary, Mark, Jason, Howard, and Robbie.

After a day of torrential rain, wind, and possibly (the on-set of winter) the allotment, sitting in its own little microclimate was sunny and warm and the bees were a buzzing.

The Butterflies all birthed.   I sat for 15 minutes straight this morning staring at Mark, because he looked most likely.. I got up and made a coffee and when I came back through... He was out.

Dang.

So I sat and stared at Gary, presuming him to be dead.   I switched on my computer. Gazed at him again.  Turned back round, opened my network, and today's work, turned, back and he was out too .

I missed every single on of them.  2 by not being there.  3 by turning my back.

If you look in the extra - you'll see my little butterfly net.  I've given them  Buddelia, Orange, Cornflower, and lavender.  They are all flapping about and having a great time. I know I need to let them go soon, but I'm very concerned about the weather.   Wind and Rain. Not Ideal.  However, If I don't let them out... they'll start again and I won't be able to look after the millions of caterpilars.
