It's an ill wind

As if to prove that it is an ill wind that brings no-one any good, this broken, shattered and decaying tree provides a home for fungi - and in doing so provides great beauty.

Spotted in the medieval botanic garden in the village where we are staying tonight. Now, I could provide a whole album of shots from there!
