In the caveau
Staying tonight at the Chateau du Coing de St Fiacre, which allows motorhomes to stay for free under the France Passion scheme. We stayed here four years ago and promptly broke down on arrival. The people here were kind and helpful and generously allowed us to stay here for an extra night even though there was nobody here on Sunday.
They make good wine too! Never let anybody tell you that all Muscadet is rubbish. Much of it is but here they make an exceptional Muscadet sur Lie. The property lies right at the confluence of the Sevre and the Maine. It's historic, pretty, and very peaceful. The vignerons are a mother and daughter partnership, which is nice, and they appear to favour appointing female team members too.
We are parked right in the vines and later we will stroll through the château grounds along the river.
Spoiled for choice for what to Blip, I selected a wee vignette from the cellar.
