Broomfield Hospital

I had to take Tom to outpatients today his appointment was 10.20 - I finally got home at 5.30...Tom didn't! They have decided to operate on his hand in the morning so kept him in to elevate his arm and try and reduce the swelling first. I didn't like leaving him there though and he didn't like me leaving him there either. He's in a room on his own which is just as well as everyone else we saw was a little bit on the elderly side. He's paid to have the Internet connection, he can watch tv and there are a variety of films he can watch. I left him having an all day breakfast.
The hospital has changed so much. It was a bit like being at an airport. I even did the shopping for the rest of the families tea tonight while I was there.
One thing I found out about myself today is that I'm not very good at doing nothing. I hated just waiting and waiting. I ended up pacing around and finding reasons to go for a walk about. Good job I got a boot session in this morning or I would have gone mental!
