Grand day out

We set off early to meet up with Jon at the Southport beach. Here, he had promised us wader and tern roosts. As the tide gradually came in, they moved nearer to us until we were sitting quite close, watching Knot, oystercatchers and sandwich terns in thousands. Pepper had a lovely time, she found an old ball and insisted on us throwing it for her endlessly!
On to our next stop, a great find of Jon’s, Choc Amour! It’s at a little craft centre and very talented chocolate artists enticed us into trying and buying! Lovely cup of coffee too.
Time for a stroll along the canal at Parbold, very peaceful and enticing, before ending up at Jon’s local for a pub supper.
