Better than expected

A damp and misty start to the morning. As it began to clear we started the day with a short walk along the local beach. We then travelled a short distance to Dunollie Museum, castle and grounds. It’s elevated position gave some fine views helped by the ferry leaving Oban. It looked very busy on board the ferry.

We then had a wander up to the Eagles nest on the slopes of Ben Lora. There were some splendid views both at the viewpoint but also on the way up. 

We finished the day in the dry despite the forecast of thundery showers. Although by evening there was a torrential downpour. However we were back in the dry by then!
