back on the truck

I love playing at Galas with the Samba Sisters, and best of all, I like the gals where we get to play on the back of a truck as the parade moves slowly through streets lined with happy people.

The forecast for Gatehouse today was not looking good, so when Fiona picked me up at the bus stop I was wearing my Dryrobe and all my stuff, including my camera, was in a waterproof rucksack. As we headed west, however, the rain went off and we ended up playing in warm sunshine. It was good to see people enjoying themselves outdoors, jigging along to the Samba rhythms :-)

On the way home, Fiona took us to Cream o'Galloway (see extra) She loves ice cream maybe as much as drumming and they had sorbets so I was happy too.
