Cleome

It's been a day of almost constant showers, sometimes very heavy, but in a rare sunshiney interlude I went out to try and find a blip. This plant is a Cleome, or spider flower and was the only one that grew from a packet of seed earlier in the year, I wasn't quite sure about it a few weeks ago, but the flowers have gone on for ages and it fills a gap at the back of the border amongst the nicotiana. I liked the way the light was glistening on the raindrops. 

It's been the penultimate day of the Olympics and a much better day medals wise for the GB Team beginning with a Gold in the boxing for Galal Yafai and a super bronze for Tom Daley in the 10m platform diving. He pushed the Chinese pair hard in the first half of the final. 
Then we had a silver in the men's Omnium in the cycling - nowhere as near as dominant as the ladies yesterday but a thrilling race. 
A gold in the men's modern pentathlon for Joe Choong in the modern pentathlon to go with the same won by Kate French yesterday and a great bronze for Josh Kerr in the men's 1500m. 
We don't have any more predicted(apart from a gold/silver for Lauren Price in the boxing) tomorrow, but fingers crossed we can pick up a cycling medal in the early hours of the morning. I will be getting up or staying up to watch the last of the GB action.
