Holiday market

The market was very busy as we reach the peak of the holiday season. There are a lot of tourists about. Covid is quite bad down at the coast. Inevitably there will be some spread up to us so I take care. I joined friends for a coffee on the square. As from Monday I will have to show a health pass on my phone to sit on the terrace or inside any bar or restaurant. There are big demonstrations around the country today against these arrangements but I think I think they are a sensible measure to avoid future lockdowns. On my return I watched some of the Olympics and listened to the cricket. Tonight we have our annual street party but it is pouring at the moment. I hope it is just the summer shower which we often get in the afternoon in the mountains.
