A busy day, taking in a trip to the dump, chasing wasps in the attic, and two trips to the daughter whose family have been hit by norovirus. But then we had to head offski - through the rain sluiced streets to take in an event to mark the opening of the much reduced Fringe. Live music! The first time since I can’t remember when. To mark Jock McFadyen’s exhibition, Lost Boat Party at the Dovecot, Little Sparta were treating us to a rendition of their album of that very name. Except that their vocalist Sally Timms (yes, she from the Mekons) was stuck in the US. Still, they managed more than creditably without her, and it was really very unexpectedly fabulous. Here’s Jock and his violin playing wife and muse, Susie Honeyman. Party on!
