Daybreak

I woke up at silly o'clock this morning, so ended up going to the river in time to see the sunrise. The colours on the way there were spectacular. By the time I got to the river, they were a little more subdued but lovely nonetheless. A few minutes later, the colour was gone. However, the best of the morning was yet to come because I had the joy of following an otter up river, watching him catch his breakfast! I also watched a pair of kingfishers, several little egrets and a heron - it was a wonderful way to start the day!
