Strange phenomenon....

The sun suddenly appeared at lunchtime. We dashed out to observe this phenomenon and took ourselves off to a garden centre new to us. The tearoom was in a sort of polytunnel but so stuffed with antiques of all kinds, classical music, that it was like eating in a country house.

The garden centre included a part of the old house garden, not at its best yet but in the sunshine some of the bark was glorious. Guessing this is some kind of prunus. The sunshine in sheltered parts of the garden was really warm. Lovely.
