Saturday afternoon.

There was a happy atmosphere in Cranleigh town centre this afternoon, as families met up with friends and gathered outside cafes and pubs. The street is very wide and has this lovely socialising area in the middle.
We were in Cranleigh to visit a furniture store. We both need new chairs. Mine is no longer comfortable, and N’s is falling apart. I had seen on the internet that a Cranleigh furniture store was having a sale so it seemed a good idea to take the trip across the hills. They have put two chairs on order for us to view again. Then N found a table outside a pub and had a beer while I wandered along the street, looking at the shops.
It was so good, and so unusual, for us to be out together.
