Emergency Flight!
We visited the Himalayan Eye Hospital today for a check up and we got a different prognosis. We got some different drugs and I ended up on a table having stuff removed from my eye (with an audience of other patients). It was painful and a bit scary.
After this we decided that we needed to get the best care possible for our eyes (being in a country you don't know makes things a bit more uncertain), so a decision was made to return to Kathmandu. By aeroplane!! Whoosh, 25 minutes of flying and we were back! All very easy and a little exciting, despite the poor, painful vision. Here we are on the plane, winking with delight into the camera!
Once home we did some internet research and had a short list of eye clinics we could visit. The Mrs looked after me very well, popping out to get dinner, and then making it and even supplying a little treat in the shape of a Crunchie bar :-P
One thing is for sure, this experience is making us closer as a couple and highlighting the love we have for each other and our deep desire that the other is healthy and looked after :-)
