Summer... you say?

We went to see some friends this morning, was possibly a bit ambitious given 2 days of holiday club and a late night for me last night.  We arrived a little later than we had hoped, but all had a really lovely day. Tractors explored, dogs walked, chickens fed and toys played with. 

Home in time to get the paddling pool out and valiently have a quick play with a bit of rain, bath to warm up and then the proper rain came. 

Evening of preparations for a long awaited day tomorrow - the youngest has waited, and waited, and waited for his birthday, he's asked what date it is for probably the last month. He has gone to bed so very excited.  The eldest went to bed asking to get up early and help get things ready. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
The boys seeing old friends 
The youngest going to sleep at a decent time this evening 
Cake made, presents wrapped - we're ready for a birthday
