The Grandchild Whisperer

The rain, forecast all day, eventually arrived, but by then it was nearly midnight and we’d enjoyed a fine sunny day.
At one point I even went and got an ancient pot of paint from the shed and touched up the paintwork under the front door. And who stopped and chatted but DrD, currently working on his boat in Granton but intending to head back west before too long. All being well, we may have a little hook up.
And we did a babysit session for S’s birthday so they could go out. To the gym! What are young people like? Nobody used to go to the gym or went running round the streets like dafties when we were wee. Running for a bus was the only time you saw a grown-up break into a trot. Anyway, I was telling wee Rosie all this and she began to get very snoozy indeed….
