The Perfect Cloud

Earlier today, I spotted this almost perfect cloud hanging in the sky. It completely stood out against the others as it was one of the only grey ones left, despite the fact the sky had been almost entirely grey only ten minutes earlier. By the time I took my camera out, it was making its way towards the sun and in a matters of minute(s) it had disappeared into the bright sunshine. A lot of people don't like the rain, and I'm certainly not a fan of what it does to my hair, but lying listening to the rain when I'm in bed at night is something I love to do, not least because it reminds me of this beautiful poem by Edwin Morgan:

"When you go,
if you go,
And I should want to die,
there's nothing I'd be saved by
more than the time
you fell asleep in my arms
in a trust so gentle
I let the darkening room
drink up the evening, till
rest, or the new rain
lightly roused you awake.
I asked if you heard the rain in your dream
and half dreaming still you only said, I love you."
