Catkins

Today, Helen and I went to B&Q to get paint for doing my bathroom. I've been talking about painting it for about as long as I've been in this flat and I decided that instead of talking about doing it, I would actually do it... There's a rule to live your life by in there somewhere! Helen's sister kindly dropped us off on her way to work and somehow I managed to get Helen to agree to walk home. We got a little wet in the rain which was a bit rubbish, but the chats we had along the way were lovely. On the way, we passed a tree with pretty catkins and Helen, being a good friend stole some for me. I couldn't reach and Helen is about a foot taller than me, so she willingly obliged. This height difference also came in handy when painting; I did all the low down bits and Helen did all the high bits that I couldn't reach. Tenement flat ceilings are rather high. I'd probably be sitting in the bath crying if I had attempted to do it myself!
