Announcements

The fab wonderful news of the day was singing in church (behind masks but still!).

The not so fab news was the announcement that the cricket was cancelled. The rain was absolutely torrential and we knew it was unlikely but as we waited, the atmosphere at Lords was fun and fabulous.

Today was part of DougsJB’s 21st birthday present last year but The Hundred was obviously all cancelled. So disappointed, yes. But he’s seen one match already and has another to look forward to.

NoaNoa joined in with an impromptu game of cricket with a wet foam ball and an umbrella. The waiting crowd turned their loud and raucous attention to this game instead. I’ll add extras just for keepsake.
