God’s creation ...

Of course I thought immediately of Blipper GodsCreation when I saw a hedgehog scuttle across our patio in broad daylight.

She is the ultimate expert and I know from her blips that a hog out in the day is a red flag. So I watched from a distance and then I watched from closer up. Both eyes were bright and clear. It moved fast and all 4 legs were fine. It foraged and spent almost an hour in view. I left out some food and water and kept away but he/she wasn’t interested.

I think I know where he/she lives. I’ve often thought we had a hedgehog because I can hear rustling at night. Tommy the Cat watches on for hours and never moves; whereas he still catches mice from elsewhere so I didn’t think it was a rodent in there ...

SkyeMan and Hatbox have arrived at ours for a couple of days. This is their first time away since getting married on 4th April in lockdown. They are on their way, slowly, up north to Skye.
