Dahlia's

I bought the tubers a couple of years ago they flowered first year, but nothing last year at all so I decided they must be dead and started to dig them up (they were in a tub) only to find the tubers were still alive and starting to sprout so I replanted them and they grew and grew and I thought they were going to be flowerless again but suddenly the buds started coming and now they are flowering.

It's been a very pleasant warm day and I cut the top lawn then decided to dig up a rose tree that is in with all the nettles and comfrey it had grown to around 7 foot tall, its a beautiful golden yellow colour and heavenly perfume. I've had it a long time but it is too much to dig up been in too long so I cut it back and am clearing the weeds round it and another one that is a deep pink.

Well another weekend gone, soon be Christmas the way things are going.
