Crash bang whallop

I spoke to the golf club yesterday and said I would return the trophy my husband won last year as the championship is being replayed this weekend.

All was going fine until it slipped out of my hand and the cup has come away from the plinth. I was devastated!! I went into the pro shop with it and he told me not to worry and he'd fix it before the competition. I said I would pay to repair it if necessary but he said he would be able to do it. I just hope he wasn't being polite!

My husband won the senior club championship in 2020, no mean feat but especially whilst fighting a very agressive cancer. He was very emotional at the presentation, and rightly so. He faced everything head on and never once stopped doing what he loved.
