Teasels And Masts
We dropped Sophie off for her last day of the school year this morning then headed straight to Apex Park in Burnham for a stroll to the sea front. These teasels were lining the footpath near the mouth of the estuary of the river, close to where the boats are moored.
We stopped on the prom to treat ourselves to a cooked breakfast at our favourite cafe. It could have been a morning on the Mediterranean weather wise, even if the scenery was rather different.
We walked along the beach as far as the old lighthouse, where we were overtaken by a couple of cyclists (see extra) and sat on the dunes enjoying the heat for a while before heading back.
Having walked 5 miles or so, we had a pretty lazy afternoon.
