Meet Stinky Bob...

Growing beautifully in the shade of our garden hedge is this striking red and green leaved, pink flowered plant, Herb Robert of the Cranesbill Geranium family.  It's also known as Stinky Bob because it has a rather strong smell of burnt rubber.  Rabbits and foxes keep away from it and I'm persuading next doors cat to do likewise although I suspect an air rifle would be quicker to use to train it.  Here kitty kitty, see the lovely flowers...

Geranium Robertianum has several alternative names and has been used by Victorians to cure cancer and herpes, help diarrhoea (my reference doesn't say whether it gives it or cures it, and stop bleeding.
