A Day Off Work

THURSDAY

I took the day off work. After checking my emails I set off on a 7.5 km run across the valley to Stainland and back. Lots of steep bits both uphill and down including having to cross the (empty) fairways at Bradley Hall Golf Club. A hot run - it was 21ºC at 07:40.

After showering and breakfast I drove over to the timber merchants in Huddersfield for some 70mm x 70mm redwood. I spent some time this afternoon repairing the bottom of one of the garage door frames which was beginning to perish. It was sweltering work and I needed a cool shower afterwards.

The shopping arrived courtesy of Michael in the Apple Van this evening.
