A Truck isn’t Always for Driving
Hot and humid today with afternoon thunderstorms. The sky was hazy with smoke from fires in the west and north. Got up early so I could take Parker to Lacrosse camp. On my way back, I drove past this concrete sculpture/fountain and decided you needed to see it as well. Many folks must stop to look because there were three “no trespassing” signs. I took my picture from the shoulder of the state road. There was enough time to grab our remaining camping groceries before my 10:15 asthma check up appointment. My test results were not great but we agreed the bad air quality lately was affecting my asthma. Hubby cut the grass at church and puttered around until his knights meeting. Some of the grands visited today. The youngest was delighted that I finally restocked the candy jar. It has been hard to find her fav Tootsie Roll Pops. Then Mancil and Parker visited. They are not allowed to be alone after the hair cut incident and the adults had dinner plans. Like most young men, they arrived hungry. Gram always has food available so they left full but not before we had solved all the world’s problems. It warms my heart that they are comfortable sharing their thoughts and listening to my words of wisdom. I think we are ready for our comping adventure. The basketball venue has moved further north than the original location so it will now take us 50 minutes to get there from our camp site vs. 20! Oh well… Thanks for stopping by. “Rocks and waters, etc., are words of God, and so are men. We all flow from one fountain Soul. All are expressions of one Love.”
