Tiny Tree and Tiny Bees
Very sunny, hot and humid all day. I slept in this morning since I read so late last night. Hubby took Parker to Lacrosse camp before I moseyed out of bed. Finished packing, put away laundry, and kept busy all morning. Perseverance paid off today. I had to use a step stool but I was able to pick my ripe tomatoes. One piece of a plant was damaged as I tried to move it so I used florist tape, sticks and a twist tie to gently put the cracked limb back together. That repair has worked in the past; we’ll see if I lose that bunch of tomatoes or not. I took several pictures of the tiny maple trees that have invaded every flower garden and anywhere else their seed pods land. Hopefully, this one shows up with the light colored garden ornament behind it. I was happy when the neighbor planted three sugar maples between our properties because we would soon have shade trees. But, oh, the work involved in constantly pulling up hundreds if not thousands of seedlings! Not sure what type of bees I captured on the Black Eyed Susan. There were many varieties and sizes in the garden today but this was the tiniest by far. I was soaked to the skin after being outside for less than an hour. Hubby cut the grass and cleaned up the accompanying mess. Learning a lesson from our SIL’s problems from the RV tire blow out, he made sure we had everything we’d need in a similar situation. He found a nice nest that someone had made inside the spare tire cover. Thankfully there were no eggs like the nest that was under the camper steps. Guess we’ll have Olive Garden for dinner; it is too cumbersome to pack up a lot of stuff for the camper’s small refrigerator. Thanks for the visit.
