Hot!!

Us British have a fixation with the weather, we talk about it, are proud of its extremes and vagaries and revel in its unexpected changes. As Paddy paddled around you couldn’t but help listening to the comments they ranged from, “it’s way too hot”, “better than Spain” or “can’t buy this” to “we need to find some shade”. I did feel for a couple of sun burnt children, it’s going to be a long night for Mum & Dad.

Clare and I decided to dispense with the traditional Sunday roast and settle for a steak salad eaten at the garden table. It’s been a relaxing day, hot but bearable.
