Village Emporium

We’ve had a wonderful day in Godstone, a village in Surrey. We went in my car and could enjoy the roof down now that a small repair has been done. Fantastic.

So much to love about this village! It was my favourite Geography field trip for several years as the children loved it which always made it a wonderful day out. The alms houses in my extra are so beautiful and a great gift to the retired and entitled of Godstone. Some very happy visits made since.

My photo is a glimpse inside the Village Emporium. Much more than a second hand shop and beautifully presented. Another memory of those field trip days too. The children loved the word emporium and some were determined to get it somewhere into their creative writing for some time after the visit.
