‘And Then there was…….. Just One….’

In just two weeks, the ‘new’ coot family are down from four to to just one - see blip 9 July https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2860232848936275494 

The remaining coot has now lost much of the the reddish markings it had when born, and was near the edge of the pond, still being attentively being fed tidbits by its parents when I was there.

In other developments, there are signs of life in the original coots  nest at the other end, let’s hope it’s third time lucky for this couple  and that their persistence pays off!
