maple syrup time

The nights are very cold but the days are longer and warming slightly. The perfect combination for maple syrup. In the country it's a sea of blue lines running from tree to tree and into the sugar shacks. Our little operation is very low key and produces only about a pint a year. This little bottle of gold will be enjoyed by a family gathering for breakfast one day a year when we gather at the cottage.
