Leeds - Liverpool

A socially distanced coffee with Dan on the deck this morning before Abi and I headed over to Leeds to see Milly. It felt very odd, saying goodbye and leaving him to his own devices: I had to remind myself he'll be off to university in a couple of months (so maybe this is a good rehearsal).

The journey across was a rocking affair, with Abi DJing as we took it in turns to choose tracks. It was cool in the car but apparently 30 degrees outside.

Which was academic until we parked up and had to actually emerge into the unadjusted world. Boy, it was warm! We'd arranged to meet Milly at the Stew & Oyster at Calls Landing, which meant we had an enjoyable ten minute walk along the canal. Today's photo was taken as we crossed a bridge.

And we did have a very enjoyable lunch until, all too soon, it was time for me to head on down to Salford to help the Minx with some wallpapering. Perhaps a bit more about that tomorrow!
