Shaping Colour

After all the excitement of yesterday's car show and almost having too many images today it was back down to earth with a bump photography wise. I didn't really see anything at all and, again, as you can probably tell this is yet another emergency blip. It's actually a tea towel hanging on our washing line with the strong afternoon sunshine filtering through the cloth - I just liked the shapes and the strong colours!

I've found the last couple of days a bit oppressive with temperatures towards 30 degrees C during the day and still almost 20 degrees at night - making it really difficult to sleep. You wake up in the morning still feeling tired and sweaty. Not a pleasant combination!
I'm not a great fan of hot weather so stayed in the shade as much as possible with a cool drink and enjoyed reading various articles in yesterday's Guardian on a diverse range of subjects -  including Carlos Reutermann (the enigmatic Argentinian Formula 1 racing driver from the late 70's and early 80's), the ill-fated Spanish railway station at Canfranc (nicknamed the Titanic of the mountains), the new Europa Conference League in football, the resurgence of Mark Cavendish in the Tour de France, the fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier and the inspiring story of a lady who opened a bookshop at the age of 65.
