Pingdemic
Yesterday our son in law was pinged by the Covid app and is now self isolating. Our Gloucestershire grandchildren are also at risk of having to isolate due to their childminder having just been being pinged.
Their long awaited trip to Silverstone, today, for the practice day and inaugural 100k warm up race are now postponed until next year. We seem to be going in the wrong direction at the moment with all these infections and here in England the PM encourages freedom day for all on Monday! Really?!
The temperature climbed again today. We had a lovely morning with our daughter’s mother in law in her sunny garden this morning. We watched the Grand Prix from the cool of our Regency basement and secured our next temporary accommodation this afternoon.
This evening we sat outside our studio apartment and enjoyed a lovely meal in the balmy southern heat. You can tell the novelty of sitting outside in shirtsleeves and feeling warm at 21h has not yet worn off!
The thermals today were perfect for the hangliders on Leckhamton Hill. There were at least 20 swirling at considerable height like 21st century pterodactyl!
NB I still have very limited internet access so please accept my continuing apologies for not commenting on your journals regularly at the moment. I will catch up ASAP!
