Sparking A Revolution

Today's image was taken in the car park of one of our local hostelries, The Poppy Fields, where we had popped in for a quick pint on the way to the shops.
This is a parking space where electric car users can plug in their vehicles for charging. Here in the UK there is supposed to be a complete ban on the sales of all new petrol and diesel cars by 2030. That is only 9 years away but there is nowhere near enough infrastructure here to support that change at the current time. It's going to take an awful of investment over the next decade to make that happen.
As an example, we have at least four supermarkets within a couple of miles of home and at the present time there are only about 7 or 8 spaces which have dedicated charging points.
If our government want to get us out of our petrol and diesel cars they are going to need to invest a lot of time and money to encourage us to do so and make the alternatives affordable and environmentally beneficial.
Having said all that I just really liked today's shot as a graphic image!
