Summer...
Warm sunshine, and fruit from the garden for breakfast. My favourites are the pink currants, from a bush called Gloire de Sablon. Like much else in our garden, it has had to endure periods of benign neglect. It's a tolerant plant, fortunately.
We looked after Frieda this morning - cause for delight on all sides. Jack came for lunch and then took her home.
Then I went to do my usual library shift. This will be the last one, for the moment. I'm going to look for a backstage role with the library for a while: something more flexible than being on a regular counter shift.
Now we've both flopped on the sofa...
