Rosedale Wander

Met up with Orienteering friend Sue and Martyn for a walk and catch up. A perfect start with fresh scones and a coffee at Graze on the Green. We then set off up Northdale before traversing across onto the Rosedale side to explore the iron stone kilns.

It started out breezy and overcast but following a picnic lunch it brightened up as we dropped into the valley bottom. A wonderful circular walk of just over eight and a half miles with a bit of climbing thrown in. Hopefully they enjoyed their short break in Yorkshire. Richard was fine after his hospital visit yesterday but was cautious about joining us today.
