Wollerton Old Hall Rose
Quite a short run with the running group this morning as it was so warm (vest and shorts today!). And then off to the allotment for a fairly long session of maintenance mainly. Although I did get the swede (Ruby) planted into the bed from where I lifted the garlic. I realised only today that swede is short for Swedish turnip! Today we had flowers on our Wollerton Old Hall rose for the first time this year. It's an English rose bred by David Austen and is named after a fantastic garden in Shropshire which is one of my favourites. We moved it earlier this year and I wasn't sure we would get any flowers so it was lovely surprise today.
