Touchstone Maze

We stayed within Strathpeffer today walking on the ridge behind the village and visiting touchstone maze. The sign pointed out is was not a maze but a labyrinth so I wondered why they didn't call it that to begin with and avoid the confusion, that's what you get from art installations. Each stone came from a different Scottish quarry although I could only name a few. The views from the ridge were good though and the village is off the tourist track so just locals around, perfect..

There were loads of red kites flying and a family of Whinchat see extras. We then had lunch in the museum cafe which is an old railway station and was excellent.
