Burnt out house at Grilli

Another brief sojourn by the sea as the weather takes a brief cooler and wetter turn. 1.5m waves closed the beaches so I had a bit of an explore in the back hills.

Here’s an extra of the drained marshes and abandoned houses at Scarlino where there is a big sulphuric acid production site historically based on the iron pirites mined in vast quantities from underground mines at Gavorrona just up the road.

And one more just after the sun set on ‘our’ beach.
