Tried to find a plumber this morning. Rang the local firm but they're booked up for 2 weeks. Guess we could manage without a shower for 2 weeks . . . we’ve survived for a week so far. They gave me the number for another. Rang him (a local lad) and he said he would pop up in the afternoon. We stayed in but at 4.15 he phoned to ask if it was ok to come tomorrow morning instead. 

The outcome of this is that I had to resort to a garden blip . . . my prickly sea holly.
