Banded Demoiselle

Yesterdays late evening walk, along the Nidd Gorge. This is the first one of these beautiful creatures I’ve seen this year, I found it hiding under the greenery on this fern. We also saw a heron and Mrs Mandarin with her chicks - they scootled along in a blur - literally! It’s been another beautiful day today - we sat outside with curry and ice cream eating our evening meal - it was still hot - yoga is calling now.
This morning we watched a (young?) magpie jumping on and off the table tennis net and pecking the post - practicing it’s balance perhaps?
