Ringlet

The sun is back - loads to do in the garden, yet more fruit picking, weeding - and lots of it! And cutting back plants running wild- blackberries, kiwi and plenty more. Liked this little ringlet on our privet hedge. Very obligingly it was still flying about after I went for the camera. I took some photos with the wings open too but the ringlet markings are less striking, I thought about doing a compilation- but as I’ve taken it on M I’m choosing to (hopefully) give you the metadata.
Sad news on the nest I blipped last Monday, one egg broken, one dead looking baby, and one remaining egg. I am surprised how sad I feel about that
