Unusual Sunset

This is Monday's blip, backblipped on Tuesday.

There's a lot of smoke up here from a wildfire about 90 miles southwest and probably others.  There is a strict fire ban.  No campfires and residents aren't even allowed to use charcoal grills on their property.  The air quality has been bad yesterday and today (Monday).  Both nights the sun has been orange, casting a strange light on everything.  I wanted to catch the sun dropping behind these trees but I lost it in the clouds. Then, just at the last minute, it started to peek out again.  There was still a big cloud across the middle but I liked the patterns it made with the orange sun that is showing through.  I was playing with my settings while I was waiting for the sunset and I liked the star-shaped sun in my extra. :-)

Today was a lazy day at the campsite with a few walks, good food and music and very little screen time - unless I count reading on my Kindle.  Of course, we played Farkle as well.  It's the only game that PD likes - probably because he beats me consistently.

Thank you again to everyone for all the stars and hearts on my 2500th blip.  I'm sorry I haven't thanked you individually and now I've lost track, but I saw all of them and appreciated every one!

I am grateful for this time with PD.  We've been retired a long time and we're almost always together but it's different being here with no TV or other distractions.  We remember that we enjoy each other's company. :-))
