Down House

The home of Charles Darwin from 1842 until his death in 1882.
It is where he wrote his work On The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.

It is situated only 10 miles from where we live but it was our first visit there.

Very interesting trip, just a shame that it has been chucking it down with rain all morning. The garden walk was a wash out and you are not permitted to take pictures inside the house, so I was limited to a quick blip of the back of the house whilst trying to keep the camera dry!
