Another Anniesland icon

On my final day in this area of Glasgow I went walkabout to blip another two instantly-recognisable local structures.

This is the other art deco building on Great Western Road that was originally a cinema - I remember going to see something when it was the Gaumont in the early 1960s - but is now an apartment block, with the original façade having been retained.

As usual I was rooting for the underdog in the Wimbledon men's final this afternoon, so Berrettini taking the first set was very exciting. Djokovic, however, was just too brilliant for him.

Did I hear someone say there was a football match on this evening?
