Si and I were in town yesterday hobbling slowly round the square.

Bearing Gifts is one of my favourite shops; it holds all of the books you need to read to your babies, toddlers, young people. It has smelly candles - my very favourite ‘Melt’; they have notelets - yes!!! You can buy notelets and send letters. They have Steiff bears. Amazing chocolate bars, mugs, cards. Loads of beautiful bits and pieces.

Today, both Si and I were taken by this
Book. I took a bit of artistic licence and changed the name slightly.

While Jessica was here; she discovered the horror that was the Scottish Midgie… but misheard our screams of horror and renamed them the Mingie which caused us no end of hysteria.

So when we seen this book; our first thought was of Jessica and how amazing it would have been if the book was really called ‘there was a wee lassie who swallowed a mingie’.
