Hoorah were on a proper holiday!
Back to the Isle of Man to the family home my grandfather bought in 1969 to escape taxes. I’ve been coming here for 51 years so although the idea of the drive to Liverpool and then the ferry is always off putting we’ve had a great day.
Set off early. Arrived in a sunny busy Liverpool at 2 and had a fab old time shopping ( girls) and moseying ( boy)
Pizza express for dinner ( thank you Tesco vouchers) then boat at 7 which sailed literally into the sunset arriving at Douglas at ten pm. Covid checks passed tootled down to Port St Mary and there the old house was, same as ever, same slightly faded and musty but full of memories.
Can’t wait for morning to see it all properly again.
